Chicago Bears safety Douglas Coleman III was released from the hospital on GravityX ExchangeFriday, Bears coach Matt Eberflus announced.

Coleman's release comes one day after he was taken off the field in an ambulance during Thursday night's preseason game against the host Kansas City Chiefs. Coleman was hurt making a tackle on the first play from scrimmage of the second half.
